White team dominates the D1 Savage Series' 4th Grade Game in Murrieta, CA

On a beautiful day in Murrieta, CA this past weekend, youth athletes from around the west coast came to compete in an all-star game hosted by the Diamond Sports Group's D1 Savage Series. This event served as the first of 4 events in the D1 Savage Series, with others set for Virginia Beach, VA, Canton, OH, and Dallas, TX later in the spring/summer.

Athletes from grades 3rd-8th were in attendance as there was a game for each age group, totaling in 6 games for the day. Each grade group was split into two teams, the White squad and the Red squad.

In the 4th grade game, the White team came to ball out.

The game started with the White team blasting off to an outstanding start, with RB Azavier McDaniel setting the tone with some tough runs for big chunks of yardage. Not long after the game got underway, RB Isaiah Ene broke free for an impressive TD run through contact getting the White team on the board. This gave White a 7-0 lead.

This would open the floodgates as the White team would go on a scoring binge and never look back.

The star of the game was QB Kane Killo of the White team, as he used his legs and arm to tear apart the defense all game. His first touchdown of the game came on a 70 yard run on a fake jet sweep ran from a Quads Right formation. This gave the White team a 13-0 lead.

As the White team poured it on, DE Jamarion White got into the action making a pick-6 to get the White team on the board for the 3rd time in the first half. Making the score 20-0 going into halftime.

The White team would continue their dominance in the second half with G.T. Taylor making a spectacular 50-yard TD catch on a beautiful dime from QB Kane Killo.

RB Isaiah Ene, RB Azavier McDaniel and TE Landon Riley would also contribute to the 2nd half scoring effort.

The White team would go on to win 54-0, in what was perhaps the most dominant performance of the day.

QB Kane Killo was named Overall MVP of the 4th grade game.
