QB Beau Green leads the White team to victory in the D1 Savage Series' 8th Grade Game in Murrieta, CA

On a beautiful day in Murrieta, CA this past weekend, youth athletes from around the west coast came to compete in an all-star game hosted by the Diamond Sports Group's D1 Savage Series. This event served as the first of 4 events in the D1 Savage Series, with others set for Virginia Beach, VA, Canton, OH, and Dallas, TX later in the spring/summer.

Athletes from grades 3rd-8th were in attendance as there was a game for each age group, totaling in 6 games for the day. Each grade group was split into two teams, the White squad and the Red squad.

In a day where it seemed like the White team won every game, The White team would continue their dominating ways in the 8th grade game led by QB Beau Green.

Green made spectacular throw after spectacular throw throughout the game as the White team handled the Red team. His first throw for a score came near the end of the 1st quarter, as he threw a 7-yard strike for a TD, giving White a 7-0 lead.

Another star for the White team was Zaire Riley. Riley would get the White team's second score of the day as he made a 10 yard TD catch, giving White a 16-0 after the conversion was good.

QB Roland Russo balled hard for the Red team as he threw some beautiful dimes throughout the game. He gave the Red team their first score of the game with a perfect throw up the sideline for a TD. This made the score 16-6.

WR Caden Riley would respond for the White team with an impressive toe-dragging catch for a 20 yard score, making the score 24-6 the end the first half.

The White team would continue their scoring ways in the 3rd quarter. Putting up a pair of TDs led by Zaire Riley. This gave the White team a commanding lead of 38-6.

The White squad would go on to win to the game, 38-12, in what was an enjoyable contest for the event's grand finale.

QB Beau Green would go on to win Overall MVP after an impressive performance for the White team.
