Youth1's Freshman450 has become a trusted resource for pinpointing the nation's elite athletes in their Freshman year of high school. With more verbal scholarships being offered to pre-high school football players than ever before, it's been proven that elite talent can be identified early on.
The Freshman450 is the nation’s premier listing of the top freshman football players in the nation. This year's list takes an in-depth view of the top 450 elite players debuting in high school this season from the 2026 class.
The athletes represented on the Freshman450 are listed alphabetically by first name at the position where we believe they'll make the biggest impact throughout high school. While several dozen have received a verbal offer prior to high school, every athlete on the Freshman450 is expected to play college football in the near future.
