Youth football combines are truly a great tool for young athletes with big aspirations to learn the game from instructors who have been in their shoes before. These combines allow youth athletes to be treated like the pros, while learning the game and having fun.
A combine to truly be excited for on the West Coast is the Arizona Youth Football Combine, who will be hosting one of their rapidly growing combines on April 5, 2020.
The event will be held at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, AZ.
"This is one of the top professional youth combines in the nation open to the public. Gain the experience of competing in a professional combine & compete with other top athletes in your age group. Showcase your skills and see where you stand among other top athletes across the nation," Event Co-Founder Casey Gould told Youth1.com.
"To gain valuable combine experience and track your growth and development year after year to see if you are on track to reach your goals as a player and athlete. Establish your athletic baseline and see where you stand. Use this event as motivation to train and work harder to increase your athleticism on and off the field," Gould added about the purpose of the event.
When asked why a parent should sign their athlete up for this event, Gould explained that the environment created at this combine is one of a kind.
"We create a fun environment where young athletes get to see how the rank and compete for medals. We also have NFL Alumni giving young athletes tips and techniques. We also provide position based coaching after the testing has been completed as well as speed and agility," Gould said.
"Each player gets a free player profile which included professional footage from our event. We film each players laser timed 40 and shuttle so coaches and scouts can see your lateral mobility along with your top end speed. Young athletes can watch the film to improve their technique and track their results and improvements year after year. We are essentially creating an athletic journal for players and parents to look back on one day. along with creating an incredible experience that you will never forget," he added.
Perhaps most important is the high-level of coaching the athletes in attendance will receive. AZ Youth Combine promises elite coaching from former NFL players and top collegiate athletes. Many of whom have trained and participated in the NFL combine.
"In addition to participating in the combine and receiving top-notch coaching, each participant will get an ESPN style sit down interview, highlight reel, stats, ranking, PPR ranking, and a chance to make the AZYFC top 10 ranking. Top performers in their age groups will win medals, trophies, and be featured in one of our articles proceeding the camp," Gould told Youth1.com.
One important note regarding camp registration: **You must register to guarantee a spot at this combine, speed, skills and agility camp! This one day exclusive event limited to 100 participants and we do sell out. We typically only hold a few championship style combine showcase in Phoenix per season so if you are planning to attend don’t wait to register.**
