Whenever we get the chance to be enlightened by one of the best in the business, it's always an honor.
Youth1 had the chance to sit down with recruiting expert, Bob Chmiel of Chmiel Recruiting, to discuss the ins and outs of recruiting.
Bob Chmiel's history in recruiting spans over 26 years in the business. Chmiel spent seven years as Notre Dame’s Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator/Assistant Coach. Before that, Chmiel was the University of Michigan’s Football Recruiting Coordinator, where he also served as an assistant coach. After completing his coaching career, Chmiel worked as a college football analyst for ESPN, provided commentary for Comcast Sports and hosted “Sports Talk” on WSBT Radio in South Bend, Indiana.
In a wide-ranging discussion, Coach Chmiel spoke to Youth1's Football Director, Ryan Oliver, about his history in recruiting, what athletes need to know, the dos and don'ts, breaking down knowledge at each position, and a whole lot more.
