American Youth Football (AYF) was founded in 1996 and is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides support services, scholarships, grants, giving back programs and tournaments to over 700,000 participants, 90,000 coaches, and 40,000 administrators in 50 states and several countries worldwide.

The 2016-2017 season kicked off on July 25th, as it was the first time the football teams were allowed to practices.  Here’s a look at the Midwest Region and the must know information for this year.

2015 National Champions:

The Midwest used to be thought of as Big10 country with bigger guys and a bit slower pace of play compared to the Southeast and SEC/ACC country.  However, all that has changed and with big time college programs like Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State all making a huge splash all over college football the perception is changing.  In 2015 the Midwest region saw two AYF national champions earn crowns.  In 2016, they will have 11 conferences eligible for national crowns and expect more than last year.  The Midwest Region’s AYF National Champions from last year were:
