The Texas Raiders Elite – Lale remain at the No.1 spot of the latest USSSA National 12U Power Rankings. About six weeks ago when we last checked in on this division, the Raiders were joined by four different teams that will be detailed today. This volatility shows how hard it is to remain on top of youth baseball rankings.
- Texas Raiders Elite - Lale: The Raiders have not competed in a USSSA tournament game since November 3, but they remain at No. The Raiders have two tournament titles this fall season, most notably at the DFW Fall State Championships. Manager Amanda Azuna has the squad sitting at 14-2 overall and In Class. The Raiders are averaging nearly 10 runs per game while allowing just over two.
- Banditos Black: The Banditos from Phoenix have competed in three USSSA tournaments, winning two and finishing as Runners Up in the other. They most recently won the American Classic Qualifier in mid-November by going 5-0 and outscoring opponents 37-13. The Banditos are 12-1 overall and unbeaten in nine games against In Class foes. Manager Alex Medrano will have his team ready to go at the upcoming USSSA Winter Nationals beginning December 27. They’re scheduled to take on the Arizona Warriors and Arizona Fire the first day of competition.
- AZ Nationals 12 Red: The Nationals, from Gilbert, Arizona, are 15-4 overall with two tournament titles on their resume. They won last weekend’s Holiday Classic Qualifier after going 4-0 and outscoring teams 32-15. Manager and ex-Major Leaguer, Cody Ransom also entered his team in the USSSA Winter Nationals on December 27. They will begin play against Creek Baseball-Black and the Warriors BBA. The Nationals have a +3 average run differential against fellow 12-Major squads.
- Kangaroo Court Roos American (pictured): The Roos American from Trinity, Florida, have played 27 USSSA games this fall season, winning 23. They’ve hoisted three tournament trophies during fall ball, most recently winning the 8th Annual Suncoast Toys 4 Tots earlier this month. In that event they were 5-0 with a plus-33 run differential. Manager Jason Miller also led his team to a title at the Fall Classic in October as well as the 6-4-3 Mid-Fall Regional Super NIT. The Roos are currently riding a five game winning streak.
- MVP Hustle 12U Prieto: The team from Norwalk, California, has competed sparsely in USSSA play this season, but when they do – it’s lights out. MVP Hustle is 9-0 overall with a combined runs scored of 69 while only allowing 21. MVP Hustle has won tournament titles at the Toy Drive Qualifier and Thanksgiving Classic Super NIT last month. They are clearly one of the top overall teams in this 12U Major division.
