Youth1 brings you our live evaluation series where we let you know what we thought of prospects that we have been able to see in person. In this article, we feature a 2028 quarterback from the state of Pennsylvania. Elvis Koutsakis, a 5-foot-9, 150-pound prospect out of the western Pennsylvania area, is the signal-caller for the Ginn Elite 14/U team out of Ohio. Youth1 had an opportunity to watch him and his talented teammates at the Battle youth football tournament in Virginia back in August. I've been to several youth football games and his performance is amongst the best that I've seen so far in the past few weeks.
Koutsakis completed 14-of-16 passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns in his team's win over the Maryland Heat. One of his touchdown passes was a beautiful fade ball down the left side of the football for a 30-plus yard touchdown pass. The touch and accuracy that he showed on that throw was impressive. His second touchdown pass was similar: a fade ball down the left sideline for another touchdown over 30-plus yards. There's also a few throws where he shows his ability to connect with his receivers while on the move. Koutsakis did a great job of not forcing throws and getting the ball to his check-down options for positive yardage.
Stay tuned to Youth1 for more live evaluations during the upcoming months.
