Ed O'Brien has been covering college football recruiting since 2006. He played Division II football at Millersville University in Pennsylvania. O'Brien started out creating highlights videos from basketball and football games in the Central Pennsylvania area. After blogging on the message boards of Pennlive.com, he started writing a blog covering high school football and basketball on Pennlive.com under the alias "Joe Cleezy".
O'Brien left Pennlive.com to start covering Pennsylvania high school football recruits for Rivals in 2014-2015. He then worked for Scout from 2015-2016 covering Pennsylvania high school football recruits and Penn State. Scout was bought by 247Sports in 2016. O'Brien began working for 247Sports towards the end of 2016 covering Pittsburgh football team and recruiting and PA HS football recruits. Over the years, O'Brien has covered some of the best players in the nation and has given exposure to hundred's of athletes over the past 16 years.
