Class of 2019 defensive end Tausili Fiatoa finished the Hawaii Nike Football Combine earlier this month ranked as the fifth-highest player out of 179, and first among defensive linemen, registering a 49.86 SPARQ rating.
Despite it being Fiatoa’s first-ever combine, the 6’1”, 184 pound 8th grader displayed a nice combination of power and speed. He ran a 5.25 second 40-yard-dash and 4.6-second 20-yard shuttle while registering a 30.5-foot powerball toss and 26.4 inch vertical jump. All of which were among the top scores for defensive linemen.
“It was a great experience,” said Fiatoa. “I was surprised how well I did.”
Fiatoa, from Kahuku, Hawaii, starred as a defensive end this past season for the 11-0 Laie Park Raiders, and also saw some time at outside linebacker. The versatile Fiatoa recorded 12 sacks, 45 tackles, 12 for loss. He was named the Punahou Schools camp defensive MVP for 2014 and Junior Prep League Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Fiatoa participated in the 2014 Tanoa Bowl in Washington where he had 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
Fiatoa will be attending Kahuku High School next year and hopes to compete in the Nike Oakland football camp this summer
