2023’s Matt Amboise has grand visions of donning the Turnover Chain

Matt Amboise is one of the best players from the Kissimmee, FL area in the Class of 2023.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Amboise is a dynamic player that works as an inside linebacker and offensive lineman.

Amboise has earned plenty of recognition during his career, such as Offensive Line MVP,

Offensive MVP and Presidential Endurance Award.

Amboise is humbled by the accolades.

“Those awards mean nothing to me. It just shows that I worked hard. I expect better for myself in the future really,” Amboise said. “The experience that it was to play in the All-Star event was a blessing honestly. Met a lot of kids. A lot of those kids had talent. I had to work harder.”

No matter the opponent, every game Amboise is determined to give it his all.

Amboise is going all out.

The motor is always at full throttle whenever Amboise steps between the lines.

“My mindset for my position is either kill or get killed,” Amboise said.

Amboise has great passion and energy whenever he’s on the field. Amboise tells why he enjoys the game of football so much.

“What I love about playing the game of football is that it brings peace to my life honestly and I get to legally hurt someone with my body and my hands,” Amboise said.

Amboise has learned many valuable lessons from playing football that he applies to his everyday life.

“The best life lessons that football taught me would be to keep track and be on your guard in everything that you do, such as your grades, God, family and just life,” Amboise said. “If you do that, you’ll be fine. You have to stay focused on life.”

Amboise shares his favorite memory of playing football.

“My favorite memory was in little league. I wasn’t as good as others and then the coaches saw it all in me and they knew I could go harder,” Amboise said. “That’s what motivates me the most.”

Amboise takes his role as one of the leaders on the team very seriously. Amboise makes sure he’s a daily positive influence on his peers.

“I demonstrate myself as a good teammate by letting them work hard each and every day with me. Do what you have to do to buy that dream crib for your peoples,” Amboise said. “The best advice I gave my teammates is to never give up because no one will care about you when you’re down. Get back up so you can be the next one.”

Amboise is appreciative of having amazing male role models that are supportive.

“I learned a lot,” Amboise said. “They tell me to never give up and keep applying pressure on and off the field.”

Amboise patterns his mentality after these standouts.

“I look up to  Devin Bush Jr., Shaquille Quarterman and Lavonte David,” Amboise said. “ All three of them have something in common in my opinion. They’re all great at making tackles in coverage, are very explosive, and hustle hard to the ball.”

Amboise lists science as his favorite subject in school.

“You’re doing interesting things in the lab and learn a lot of information about the world,” Amboise said.

Amboise explains his collegiate aspirations.

“My dream college is the University Of Miami,” Amboise said. “The football program got swagger and they have a good coaching staff with talented players coming in all classes. They just have that swag and one day I see myself playing there, having two rings and one chain on me.”

Amboise is striving for greatness in all that he does.

“My goals on and off the field are to make my people happy and watch me make it to the big stage, so they don’t have to worry about anything for the rest of their lives,” Amboise said.
