Running Backs headed into their freshman year of high school football with some buzz

The class of 2027 has a few running backs that have a lot of buzz headed into their freshman year of high school football. Youth1 takes a look at some of those prospects that we'll be keeping close tabs on this upcoming season.

AMARRI IRVIN | RUNNING BACK | 6-0 | 195 | GEORGIA

Amarri Irvin

Amarri Irvin

Irvin has offers from Arkansas, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Georgia State, Penn State, Stanford, Nebraska, and Louisville. He also plays the linebacker position. The majority of his highlights showcase him at the linebacker position. Irvin looks like a solid linebacker prospect as well.

BRAYDEN TYSON | 6-0 | 215 | GEORGIA

Brayden Tyson

Tyson has offers from Arkansas, South Carolina, USF, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. He played in the 2023 Under Armour 8th Grade All-American game this past January.

ISAIAH GARRETT | OHIO

Garrett has offers from Kentucky and Michigan.

JERRY BEARD | 5-9 | 167 | GEORGIA

Jerry Beard

Jerry Beard

Beard has offers from Arkansas, Georgia, and UAB. I watched his highlight reel and spring practice clips. With his speed, vision, and elusiveness, it’s easy to see why schools are trying to get the early jump on Beard. He’s an instant one-cut talent with no gather steps needed.

KINGSTIN MCADAMS | 5-11 | 180 | TEXAS

McAdams received his first offer from Texas A&M on Sunday after competing in the school’s prospect camp.

LANDEN WILLIAMS-CALLIS | 5-7 | 165 | TEXAS

Williams-Callis has offers from Oregon State, Penn State, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas State, UNLV, and Grambling State. It’s worth noting that he runs track and is pretty fast, as in 10.61 in the 100M fast. He played in the Under Amour 8th-grade All-American game this past January.
