Class of 2025 Kaden Ellis commits to Appalachian State

Class of 2025 defensive lineman Kaden Ellis made his college decision on Wednesday. Ellis, a 6-foot-1, 275-pound defensive tackle/nose guard out of Georgia, announced his commitment to Appalachian State via Twitter.

Ellis chose Appalachian State over Eastern Kentucky, South Alabama, and Troy.

Ellis became a Youth1 member in 2019 and we were immediately impressed by his work ethic. Right away our scouting department recognized how light he was on his feet and his strong first step. We published a feature on him in 2020 in which his then coach Trey Moores gave Kaden rave reviews on his technique and basically called him the most gifted and reliable offensive and defensive lineman he'd coached. Now in the midst of an amazing high school campaign at 6-foot1, 275 pouns, the former Youth1 NextUp, Elite101 and Freshman450 national selection is going to be a Mountaineer.

Congratulations Kaden!
