2022 ATH Terian Williams II is not lacking an ounce of confidence. In fact, if you let him tell it, he views himself as the #1 2022 athlete in the country.
"I'm considered as the best athlete in the class of 2022 because of my versatility, I play Quarterback, Cornerback, Safety and Special Teams. I've punted a few times as well. Most Quarterbacks don't like playing defense... I enjoy both sides of the ball," Williams said.
He may not be wrong.
Youth1 recently named Williams to the Freshman450, which identifies the top athletes entering their freshman season. Williams also was ranked #3 on Youth1's Elite101 rankings when he was eligible as an 8th grader just last year.
"To be named the #3 player in the country as an 8th grader and named to the top Freshman450 this year are great honors, especially when you consider how many outstanding football players are in the class of 2022," Williams said,
While he exudes confidence in his ability on the football field, Williams is a very humble kid who is hungry and dedicated to becoming the best football player he can be.
His talent speaks for itself and colleges have already taken notice in what Williams brings to the table.
"Howard University offered in 8th grade, University North Carolina, University Of Kentucky, University Tennessee, and University Florida have expressed interest. I will be attending their camps in the summer 2019," Williams told Youth1.com
Standing at 5'11" 175 lbs., Williams is a dominant playmaker on both sides of the ball. He's a dual-threat QB on offense that can gash the defense with his arm from the pocket or on designed run plays. He has a strong arm to deliver the ball with power and precision. If he gets loose in the open field, Williams is always a threat to take it to the endzone.
Playing QB gives Williams the opportunity to lead his team, which he truly takes pride in.
"I lead by example. Playing the Quarterback position automatically puts you in position to be a coach on the field," Williams said.
On defense, Williams shines bright as a ballhawking Safety. He's superb in both coverage and run support. He's not afraid to lay down a big hit either.
"My versatility set me apart from others. I can play multiple positions on both offense and defense with the same level of competitiveness and intensity," Williams said.
"My strengths are being a field general on both sides of the ball and having the ability to anticipate what my opponent will do before he does it," he added.
The Lilburn, GA resident currently plays for the Parkview Panthers under Head Coach Eric Godfree. He recently led his team to the region title (44-0 victory) and was named the Player of the Game.
Williams isn't satisfied and has his eye on accomplishing more.
"My short term goals are to win a few state titles before I graduate from Parkview, to lead the state in total yards from scrimmage my Senior year, and to continue my academic and athletic career at a Power 5 University," Williams said.
Williams is as diligent in the classroom as he is on the football field. He currently sports a 4.0 GPA. He was also recently named Freshman Homecoming King. He was recently selected for the Freshman Offense-Defense All-American Bowl and the FBU All-American Bowl.
2022 ATH Terian Williams believes in his talent on the football field and has the drive to make his dreams a reality. His goal is to play D1 football and he's heading down the right path.
With his ability to make big plays on both sides of the ball and serve as a leader for his team, Williams is a real bright spot from the 2022 class.
