Every week millions of youth football players play thousands of games in hundreds of cities in all 50 states.  Every week our Notebook will showcase a number of 2018 and 2019 athletes who had strong performances in the previous calendar week.  Without further ado, let's take a look at some of the nation's top performances from last week.

In a 34-0 victory, quarterback Allan Walters paced the Silk City Cardinals with a pair of touchdowns through the air an additional one rushing. Walters played only 18 offensive snaps in three quarters in the victory over the Brooklyn Giants, however, he still recorded 194 yards on 6-of-9 passing and two rushes for 50 yards.…Malik Astin, No. 76 on the Elite 101, is off to a great start this season on both teams he suites up for. For his middle school team, MD Roberts, they are 2-0 with convincing victories over Babbs Middle School 24-0 and Lovejoy 36-6. His other squad, the Jonesboro Gators, are currently 3-0 and are currently ranked 8th in the state at 14U. Astin has been unblockable at times at his defensive end spot but has also looked good at offense, scoring a handful of touchdowns as a fullback...2019 running back Omari Garry made a big splash in his last game, as he racked up 141 rushing yards in a victory for the Bell Eagles. Garry set the tone from the first play of the game, as he scored on a 60-yard touchdown for the first score of the year. In addition to his rushing yards, Garry hauled in one reception for 21 yards and a 42-yard punt return. His efforts were limited to just offense and special teams either, as defensively he either made or assisted on 17 tackles and forced a fumble....Elite101 Watch List linebacker Izzy Araiza helped his Sun Devils team to a 40-6 victory in Arizona. He rushed seven times for 51 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively he recorded five solo tackles, five assisted tackles, two quarterback hurries and two sacks...5’9” 187 lbs. Christopher Villarreal kicked off his Pacific Coast Conference season last week, as the two-time defending champion Norwalk Santa Fe Springs defeated the El Segundo Eagles 27-12. Villarreal finished the afternoon with two sacks, eight total tackles and a forced fumble...Elite 101 Watch List DE/OLB Logan Clifton has a banner debut game at his new position, recording 3.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and seven total tackles....Daymon Williams, a CB/WR for the KLM out of Maryland has hit the ground running in his first two games. The 5’7” 140 lbs. corner has two interceptions in as many weeks, including one returned 50 yards for a TD. His defensive efforts, in addition to a receiving touchdown have helped his team to victories of 39-0 and 14-8 thus far...The No.4 overall player in the Elite 101, Leddie Brown continued his storybook career with a big performance last week in a big victory over the Newark Bears. Brown, who is the unquestioned leader of the Wilmington Soldiers of Delaware, carried the ball four times for an even 100 yards and added a reception in a three touchdown performance. With the 48-0 victory, Brown and the Soldiers are now 4-0 on the season...Grier Middle School improved to 2-0 with a 36-0 victory over York Chester. In an offensive explosion that saw three different players score, Dallas Danner had six carries for 110 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown run in addition to a two points conversation. Grier welcomes Mount Holly next Wednesday in their next game.
