5 eye-popping athletes from the Next Up Watchlist featuring the 2027 class

We recently released our Next Up Watchlist, which identifies some of the budding young talents from the 7th grade.

With over 90 talented rising athletes being named to the Next Up Watchlist, we've tabbed 5 athletes who we are extremely excited to follow going forward!

Noah Spinks - QB - Flower Mound, TX

Spinks is one of the most polished youth QBs you'll find. He can make every throw with ease and is rapidly ascending thanks to his supreme work-ethic. He shines throwing the deep ball. Not to mention he's among the most accurate passers in the 2027 class.

You can check out Noah's highlights and our MMQB interview with him below.

Christopher Miller - QB - Powder Springs, GA

If you're looking for 2027's next big thing, it could be Georgia QB Christopher Miller.

Miller has the looks and skill of a rising talent at the QB spot. He has a quick release that allows him to find his receivers with the ball quickly. He can make deep throws with the flick of the wrist. Arm strength is one of his best attributes, as he can really spin it. Miller's comfort in the pocket is evident on film, as he'll drop dimes while facing pressure. At 6'0" 170 lbs., Miller has great size for a youth QB.

Check out Chris's highlights below.

Izak Koep - TE - Jefferson, GA

Koep is a rising talent at the Tight End position. He is an excellent route runner and pass catcher that knows how to find the soft spot in the defense. Once he gets the ball he has speed to breakaway to find the endzone.

Koep is a TE to keep an eye on going forward.

Check out Izak's highlights below.

JR Harris - QB - Carrollton, GA

JR Harris can do it all from the QB spot. Throw on the move, check. Drop deep ball dimes, check. Throw the ball with accuracy, check. He shows real comfort throwing both from the pocket and while on the move.

Harris is a young prospect we are excited to see grow!

Roman Tumminia - OL/DL - Milton, GA

Roman is a beast in the trenches. He uses his size and strength to wreak havoc on his opposition. He's quick off of the snap and has great instincts to diagnose the offense's play. He's very physical and loves to lay down big hits.

The Georgia lineman is a rising talent to keep tabs on.

Check out Roman's highlights below.
