2024’s Peyton Seelmann is a dominant defender on the gridiron

Peyton Seelmann is one of the best players from the Hanover, VA area in the Class of 2024. 

 

The 6-foot-1, 188-pound Seelmann, who attends Hanover High School, is a dynamic player that works as a linebacker and running back. 

 

 

Seelmann has earned plenty of recognition during his career, such as: 

 

  • MVP 
  • Defensive Player of Year
  • 2019 BK Classic 7th Grade Maroon Team MVP Defense 
  • Invite to Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy. 
  • 2021 FBU Top Gun Invite 

Seelmann is humbled by the accolade. 

“It’s humbling for my hard work and dedication to be recognized,” Seelmann said. “It was a great experience and I learned a lot from being able to play against talented, good competition.”

Seelmann has also attended camps for Recruits757 Clash of the Titans, Hotbed Exposure, 804 Game Academy, and College Coaches Showcase Camp at Warhill Park Williamsburg.

Last season, Seelmann amassed 28 touchdowns,1 interception and 63 tackles in 6 games.

No matter the opponent, every game Seelmann is determined to give it his all. 

 

Seelmann is going all out. 

 

The motor is always at full throttle whenever Seelmann steps between the lines.

 

“My mindset is to do my job and do it full speed,” Seelmann said. 

 

Seelman has great passion and energy whenever he’s on the field. Seelmann tells why he enjoys the game of football so much. 

 

“I love the brothership and bringing the community together,” Seelmann said. 

 

Seelmann has learned many valuable lessons from playing football that he applies to his everyday life. 

 

“Football has taught me that you have to persevere over many obstacles in life but never stop wanting,” Seelmann said. 


 

Seelmann shares his favorite memory of playing football.

 

“Playing in Los Angeles in the SYFL Snoop Dogg League National Championship,” Seelmann said. “It was an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget.”

 

Seelmann takes his role as one of the leaders on the team very seriously. Seelmann makes sure he’s a daily positive influence on his peers.

 

“I demonstrate being a good teammate by pushing my teammates to the best of their ability,” Seelmann said. 

 

Seelmann is appreciative of having amazing male role models that are supportive.

 

“I’ve learned from my coaches that not everything is given to you. You have to work hard to get what you want. Be the one no one forgets,” Seelmnan said. “The best advice I’ve received is to attack every day.”

 

Seelmann patterns his mentality after this standout.  

“I look up to Bobby Wagner because of his intensity and leadership,” Seelmann said. 

Seelmann lists history as his favorite subject in school. 

 

“I enjoy learning about how the world was throughout different times,” Seelmann said. “It’s fascinating.”

 

Seelmann explains his collegiate aspirations. 

 

“My top interests are Virginia Tech, Virginia, Clemson, University of South Carolina, and Penn State,” Seelmann said. 

Seelmann maintains a rigorous schedule to stay sharp.

“I go to the gym 3 days a week at 6:30am before school to stay skilled and in shape,” Seelmann said. 

 

Seelmann is striving for greatness in all that he does. 

 

“For high school I want to win a state championship and motivate and push my teammates to be better football players and better people,” Seelmann said. 

 

Seelmann describes what he believes separates himself from the pack. 

 

“My work ethic and leadership sets me apart from other players because I push myself to work hard and harder and to help my teammates work,” Seelmann said.
