2023’s Seven Moorehead is one of Orlando’s most versatile threats

Seven Moorehead is one of the best players from the Orlando, FL area in the Class of 2023.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Moorehead, who attends Dr. Phillips High School, is a dynamic player that works as an ATH.

Moorehead has earned plenty of recognition during his career, such as: FYFCL All-Conference team, Offensive Player of the Year,  FCA Lineman Challenge champion, and Offensive and Defensive All-American game selection.

Moorehead is humbled by the accolades.

“I'm grateful for each opportunity. It shows my individual improvement and it makes me want to work harder,” Moorehead said. “Players competing and coming together for the same love of football makes the experience worth every moment.”

Moorehead has attended camps for Rivals, NextGen, Under Armour, and Ohio State.

No matter the opponent, every game Moorehead is determined to give it his all.

Moorehead is going all out.

The motor is always at full throttle whenever Moorehead steps between the lines.

“My mindset as a running back is to protect the ball, find the hole and hit it,” Moorehead said. “As an OLB, define the offense, read and react. As a slot receiver, make a move, catch the ball, protect and run the route.”

Moorehead has great passion and energy whenever he’s on the field. Moorehead tells why he enjoys the game of football so much.

“It teaches you more than just the game,” Moorehead said.

Moorehead has learned many valuable lessons from playing football that he applies to his everyday life.

“Playing football has taught me that whatever you want, you’ve got to go get it,” Moorehead said. “It’s not going to be handed to you.”

Moorehead shares his favorite memory of playing football.

“One-on-one trainning with NFL players while with my trainer coach Bo Jack of Speed Plus Sports,” Moorehead said.

Moorehead takes his role as one of the leaders on the team very seriously. Moorehead makes sure he’s a daily positive influence on his peers.

“I stay humble, work hard and motivate my brothers,” Moorehead said. “The best advice I give is to stay ready.”

Moorehead is appreciative of having amazing male role models that are supportive.

“I have learned that you have to work for what you want. No one is going to hand it to you,” Moorehead said. “The best advice I’ve gotten is focus on school work first. Without the grades you’re nothing on the field.”

Moorehead patterns his mentality after this running back.

“I still like Ezekiel Elliott on and off the field,” Moorehead said. “He had a goal in life and did it.”

Moorehead lists history as his favorite subject in school.

“I like learning about true events. It answers some of today's questions. It’s very interesting,” Moorehead said. “I’m even in the history club.”

Moorehead explains his collegiate aspirations.

“My top college choices are Ohio state, Miami U and Tennessee,” Moorehead said.

Moorehead maintains a rigorous schedule to stay sharp.

“I sprint with my parachute,” Moorehead said. “I also do dumbbell drills and cone drills when I’m not training with Speed Plus Sports three days a week.”

Moorehead is striving for greatness in all that he does.

“I want to maintain my GPA and be a great student athlete on and off the field,” Moorehead said.

Moorehead describes what he believes separates himself from the pack.

“I'm an all-around student athlete with a 3.65. Being coachable allows me to learn multiple positions and be good at it. I have the mindset to learn the plays, remember all of them, then read the field when it's time,” Moorehead said. “Knowing all of that allows me to play multiple positions. I stay humble because I know it all can be taken away in an instant.”
