2023’s Jerry Dinkins III is explosive every time he carries the pigskin

Jerry Dinkins III is one of the best players from the Fort Lauderdale, FL area in the Class of 2023.  

 

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Dinkins III, who attends American Heritage, is a dynamic player that works as a running back. 

 

Dinkins III has earned plenty of recognition during his career, such as being selected as a team MVP multiple times. 

 

Dinkins III is humbled by the accolades. 

 

“Getting these awards meant that I can get to where I want to get in life,” Dinkins III said. “All I’ve got to do is keep a strong mind and never stop going.”

 

No matter the opponent, every game Dinkins III is determined to give it his all. 

 

Dinkins III is going all out. 

 

The motor is always at full throttle whenever Dinkins III steps between the lines.

 

“My mindset is to go hard every play,” Dinkins III said. 

 

Dinkins III has great passion and energy whenever he’s on the field. Dinkins III tells why he enjoys the game of football so much. 

 

“I just love enjoying the game and playing with my brothers,” Dinkins III said. 

 

Dinkins III has learned many valuable lessons from playing football that he applies to his everyday life. 

 

“Football has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to,” Dinkins III said. 

 

Dinkins III takes his role as one of the leaders on the team very seriously. Dinkins III makes sure he’s a daily positive influence on his peers.

 

“I demonstrate being a good teammate by always having my brothers’ backs on and off the field,” Dinkins III said. “The best advice I give to my teammates is to remember who you’re  doing it for and remember your goal in life.”

 

Dinkins III is appreciative of having amazing male role models that are supportive.

 

“I have learned to just be myself and always believe you can do all things you put your mind to and never give up,” Dinkins III said. “The best advice I’ve gotten is just be yourself and play your game.”

 

Dinkins III patterns his mentality after this standout.  

“I look up to J. K. Dobbins because he is not the biggest on the field but he’s got heart,” Dinkins III said. 

Dinkins III lists math as his favorite subject in school. 

“It’s like a challenge and I like facing a challenge,” Dinkins III said.  

 

Dinkins III explains his collegiate aspirations. 

 

“I want to play at the University of Miami because my mom and her sister went there and I grew up a Miami fan,” Dinkins III said. 

 

Dinkins III is striving for greatness in all that he does. 

 

“I want to be the best I can be on the field,” Dinkins III said. “Off the field, I want to be a respectful person and a leader to those who look up to me.”
