A pair of Elite101 Alumni have received their first D1 offer from Illinois State!
2023 athletes Addison Jayroe and Jake Strong both took to social media on May 19th to announce the great news.

This is a fantastic achievement for these talented athletes, both who have made a name for themselves as rising stars over the past few years.
These Texas bred athletes have worked tirelessly to hone their crafts and have earned the success coming their way.
Jayroe, who was ranked as the #7 overall athlete in the 2023 class back on the 2018 edition of Youth1's Elite101 Rankings, has earned his keep with his big playmaking ability from the WR spot. "Jayroe has ideal attributes for a high level receiver. He is tall, fast, and has great hands," Youth1 wrote back in 2018 of Jayroe. This remains true to this day.
For those unfamiliar, the Elite101 rankings have been a valuable resource for pinpointing the nation's absolute best athletes entering their 8th grade seasons.
Strong, who was ranked as the #52 overall in the 2023 class back on the 2018 edition of Youth1's Elite101 Rankings, is known as a great leader with superb accuracy on his throws from the QB spot. He's been a standout for The USA National Team and at NextGen's The Show.
This is the first of many offers to come for this pair of outstanding talents.
