Richmond County, Super 11U back for more Spring Classic hardware at Diamond Nation

A year ago, the Richmond County Baseball Club Nationals won the 13U Spring Classic championship at Diamond Nation and that organization is always a threat at any age level at the Flemington N.J. facility. So, consider RCBC’s entry into the 13U tournament field this weekend one to watch closely.

The 2018 Spring Classic at Diamond Nation will feature 76 teams at five age levels.

Like the Nationals, the Diamond Jacks’ Super 11U squad is looking to repeat a Spring Classic championship the boys won last May at the 10U age level. There’s nothing like playing at home but the Diamond Jacks will get a heavy dose of early 11U

tournament knowledge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday when it tangles with Mid-Atlantic Show on Field 4A.

Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy Prospects squares off with All-Out Pack in another 11U Spring Classic opener on Field 4B, Friday night. The 11U tournament playoff semifinals are scheduled for 12:15 p.m. on Sunday on Fields 2 and 6. The championship game in the 16-team 11U Spring Classic will be showcased at 6:30 p.m. on Field 6.

The 12U and 13U Spring Classic fields open up on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., too.

The Crossbridge Raiders play the LVBA Prospects on Field 2 and the Bridgewater Panthers test the RCBC Nationals on Field 6 in the rugged 20-team 12U bracket. The 12U field will have two rounds of playoffs on Fields 2 and 6 to determine the championship matchup. The 12U championship game is set for 8:30 p.m. on Field 2.

The deep, 28-team, double-bracket 13U Spring Classic gets under way in a hurry on Friday as four tournament-opening games are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Hit And Run Outlaws meet Langan Baseball on Field 3, NJ Blue Sox face the Morris County Cubs on Field 5, the Diamond Jacks Gold 13U takes on the RCBC Nationals on Field 1 and the Diamond Jacks Super 13U encounter the talented 9ers Baseball Club around the corner at Jack Cust Baseball Academy.

The 13U field is separated into Blue and Red Brackets and each final is set for 7 p.m. on Sunday. The Blue Bracket championship will be contested on Field 1 and the Red Bracket championship will be held on Field 3.

Both the 9U and 10U Spring Classic tournaments begin on Saturday.

The Madison Tigers play the AA Canes in the 9U opener at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday on Field 3A. The 9U tournament semifinals will be played at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday on Fields 4A and 4B. The championship games follows at 6:30 p.m. on Field 4A.

The 10U Spring Classic takes flight with a doubleheader at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The Delran Bears play the AA Canes on Field 3A while the Madison Tigers open with the MVP Blue Jackets on Field 3B. The 10U Spring Classic championship game is set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday on Field 4B.
