Benjamin Street is one of the best players from the Richmond, VA area in the Class of 2025.
The 5-foot-7, 136-pound Street, who attends Collegiate School, is a dynamic player that works as a wide receiver and safety.
Street has earned plenty of recognition during his career, such as:
- Diamond All-American (2017)
- V7 Elite MVP (2017)
- East vs West All-American Diamond Game selection (2018)
- Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy selection (2018)
- O-D All-American selection (2016-2020)
- MVP 7th grade football team (2019)
- Street is humbled by the accolades.
“It shows me that hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I'm humbled,” Street said. “It was an awesome experience in those events, especially playing against the best in the country.”
Street has attended the following camps:
Redskins Summer Camp (2013-2015), Diamond Sports (2017), 2018 East/West Diamond Sports Vegas (2018), V7 Playmakers elite (2017) and Battle Royale (2020).
So far this season, Street has 16 receptions on 20 targets, 9 touchdowns on offense, with 6 interceptions on defense.
No matter the opponent, every game Street is determined to give it his all.
Street is going all out.
The motor is always at full throttle whenever Street steps between the lines.
“My mindset is to dominate, period!” Street said. “Mamba Mentality!”
Street has great passion and energy whenever he’s on the field. Street tells why he enjoys the game of football so much.
“What I love most about playing is the brotherhood with my teammates and winning,” Street said.
Street has learned many valuable lessons from playing football that he applies to his everyday life.
“I've learned that you're never really out of it unless you give up,” Street said.
Street shares his favorite memory of playing football.
“My favorite memory of playing football was when I coached up a teammate in practice all week who didn't get much playing time,” Street said. “During the course of the game he scored his first touchdown, and it was a surreal moment.”
Street takes his role as one of the leaders on the team very seriously. Street makes sure he’s a daily positive influence on his peers.
“I demonstrate being a good teammate by cheering for my guys win or lose. I'm always encouraging my guys,” Street said. “The best advice I give is that it’s not over until it’s over and to keep fighting.”
Street is appreciative of having amazing male role models that are supportive.
“I've learned that coaches more than likely are giving life lessons, and that being humble is better than boasting,” Street said. “The best advice I’ve gotten is to never take plays off, and lead by example on and off the field.”
Street patterns his mentality after this standout.
“The player I look up to most is DaVante Adams,” Street said. “His route running is the best and that's why I try to pattern my game after.”
Street lists science as his favorite subject in school.
“I like doing the experiments and labs,” Street said.
Street explains his collegiate aspirations.
“My top interests are Clemson, Ohio State, and LSU,” Street said.
Street maintains a rigorous schedule to stay sharp.
“I work on route running, different releases off of the line, and the sticking system,” Street said.
Street is striving for greatness in all that he does.
“My high school goals are to letter all four years, set records on both sides of the ball, break records, four year All-State, make ESPN 300, be Mr. Football of Virginia, and the No. 1 recruited player in America, all while maintaining a 3.6 GPA,” Street said.
Street describes what he believes separates himself from the pack.
“I feel that my willingness to listen, route running, catching ability, leadership, and playing on big stages is what sets me apart from others,” Street said.
