(Youth1 Softball) The 2013 fastpitch season is well underway and that means our regular in-season rankings are back. Each and every Friday, we're bringing you the top teams across the country, that continue to make a name for themselves in tournament play. This week, we take a look at the top 10 11U teams. At No.10 this week are the girls of the Wasco Diamonds '01 MW, out of Wasco, Illinois. The 9-6 squad picked up a 2nd place finish last weekend at the Illinois Gold 2nd Annual Spring Qualifier by going 6-1 in tournament play, offensively producing 48 runs and allowing just 18 runs against them. The Wasco Diamonds are set to have a successful tournament run this spring and summer. The Gators are comprised of Kolbe Crowe, Catelyn Harer, Devyn Lutz, Kayla Mantooth, Mallory McCoy, Taryn O'Brien, Kaitlyn Ridgeway, Maebree Robertson, Jaden Schantz, Caleigh Stevenson, and Kyara Williams. |
Taking the No.8 spot this week are the girls of the Renegades, out of Milpitas, California. The 11-1 squad holds a 1137 power rating, and picked up two 1st place finishes during the fall at both the Fall Brawl (5-1), and at Monster Bash Classic (6-0), where the team averaged more than 9 runs per game in each tournament. The Renegades are comprised of Jasmine Balderas, Serena Cadena, Alexxis Eugene, Kailani Medina, Alexah Mims, Angelina Morales, Adrianna Nash, Ashley Nash, Kaylee Norris, Allyson Pati, and Haylie Salazar. |
At 14-6 with a 1123 power rating, the always powerful Central Coast Athletics picked up a 1st place finish during the fall and a 3rd place finish last month at April Showers (3-2). The squad looks towards the spring and summer for more success in tournament play. This talented group shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. The Central Coast Athletics are comprised of Julia Cano, Daisy Chavez, Jessica Clements, Spencer Nagenbuch, Aleaha Martinez, Dominique Monteon, Kylie Nguyen, Aliyah Robles, Jessica Rodriguez, Angaleena Salinas, Kayla Stone, Juliana Wilson, and Ariana Young. |
Amherst Lightning Elite '01 is comprised of Caitlin Bish, Anna Brand, Riley Crum, Kylie Katalinas, Christy Mack, Avianna Peterson, Larissa Reid, Rachel Urbank, Abigail Vincent, Maggie Waechter, and Athena Zak. |
At No.5 and halfway through this week's countdown to to top, is KC CORE 01 out of Blue Springs, Missouri. The squad is 21-15-3 overall with a 1st place finish in the fall. The team most recently picked up some 1st place hardware last moth at the Strike Out Hunger (Double Pts) by going 5-1 in tournament play. KC CORE 01 is comprised of Kara Amos, Maddison Bishop, Piper Brown, Audrey Corona, Savannah Everhart, Avery Hobson, Kaitlyn Kurtz, Madison McDaniel, Haley McGriff, Chaise Miller, and Jillian Seamster. |
With a 24-14 tournament record thus far on the 2012-2013 season, it's no wonder Team Nebraska 11 comes in at the No.4 spot. This team picked up a 2nd place finish at the April NIT Spring Swing (6-3), and a 3rd place finish last weekend at the NIT Reinmiller Classic (4-2). Team Nebraska is comprised of Allison Anding, Jewel Ashbrook, Lexie Black, Elizabeth Bond, Alyssa Gappa, Sophie Gerhardt, Emma Griffith, Katie Palmer, Zarah Sagheer, and Jaden Santoni.

Clinching the No.3 spot this week are the girls of Central Iowa Impact, who continue to crush the competition. The World Series qualified squad is 24-9-2 overall with three 1st place finishes during the fall and a 3rd place finish last month at the Iowa Sundevils Invite (5-1). The squad continues to grow stronger with every tournament, and should be a very exciting team to watch come World Series play later on this summer. Central Iowa Impact 11U is comprised of Emma Arnold, Kaysee Dale, Cauri Douglas, Olivia Dowling, Alyvia Dubois, Jadyn Erickson, Saylor Hines, Abbie Johnson, Kennady Prenosil, Jessie Stuart, and Brionna Vasey. |
Always a strong competitor and top-notch organization, the Oak Park Windmills 11U squad has a lot to be proud of so far this season. The team is 25-6 overall with a 1196 power rating and a 1st place finish during the fall. This spring, the team picked up two 1st place finishes thus far at the USSSA National Qualifier (4-0), and at the Illinois Gold 2nd Annual Spring Qualifier (7-0), and offensively producing 77 runs collectively. The Oak Park Windmills are comprised of Taylor Divello, Kristin Garcia, Fiona Giardot, Mary Jones, Eleanor Kamenitsa-Hale, Katherine Karnatz, Cassandra Lindmark, Rachel Martinez, Kaitlyn Scheitler, Meagan Torres, Carly Tucci, and Angela Zedak. |
Ranking No.1 this week, the always talented girls of the NWA Knockouts 11U have earned the top spot in this week's The 2013 Knockouts 11U squad is comprised of Alyssa Cordell, Steele Donahoe, Riley Hayes, Madison Johnson, Alex McManus, Morgan Nelson, Caroline Nicodemus, Katelyn O'Brien, Emily Roberson, Hallie Wacaser, and Jenna Wildeman.
