This past weekend Oklahoma standout Zach Blankenship competed in the 2018 Flo Tulsa Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Blankenship competed in the 101-pound weight class and put on one of the best performances of the event as he went unscored upon in all six of his matches.

 

The Flo Kickoff Classic champion won each of his first five bouts of the event by fall with his quickest one coming in just :51 seconds over Ezra Herrera of Skyview Wrestling. He won his semi-final bout in 1:18 over Isaiah Kainoa Medina of Vacaville Wrestling Club and won two others by second period falls.

 

Blankenship was able to keep his Trinity Award hopes alive when he defeated Missouri state champion Jacob Mann in the title bout 7-0.

 

With his dominating performance, Blankenship was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler in the 15 and Under age group as he recorded five victories by fall in 9:39 minutes of wrestling.
