This past weekend more than 2,000 junior high wrestlers competed in the 2020 Oklahoma Junior High AllState tournament at Jim Norick Sports Arena in Oklahoma City.
Clayton Giddens-Butt of Bixby JH led the way as he dominated the 101-pound bracket as he posted a perfect 6-0 record. He won two bouts by fall, one by major, one by tech-fall and two others by shutout which included his championship match where he defeated William Heger of El Reno 2-0.
Taking home the 113-pound championship was Jayce Caviness of Stilwell who posted a perfect 6-0 record. Caviness took home the title when he defeated top-seeded Cale Walden of Team Choctaw 4-0.
In the 128-pound bracket it was Tulas National Champion Jace Roller of Bixby JH who added a state title to his record. He dominated his bracket as he won his first five bouts by fall before picking up an 11-1 major over Ryker Agee of Wildcat Wrestling in the title bout.
Finally it was Gabe Roland of Wildcat Wrestling who dominated the 138-pound bracket by winning four of six bouts by fall including his championship match where he defeated Talon McCollom of Edmond North in 3:30.
