One of the top early season wrestling tournaments kicks off this weekend as thousands of youth wrestlers will compete in the 2019 Super 32.
In part 1 of our 3 part installment, we take an in-depth look at the lightweight divisions of the 2019 Super 32.
Here is a look at some of the top talent registered in the middle school lightweight brackets.
70-pounds

Notes: Leading the 70-pound bracket will be Pennsylvania State Champion and Super 32 bronze medalist Dominic Deputy. He’ll be joined by defending Elementary School Super 32 Champions Cadell Lee of Virginia and Neal Krysty of Ohio.
75-pounds

Shane McFillin - PA
Lukas Littleton-Mascaro - PA
Liam Davis - FL
Drew Roggie - VA
Moses Mendoza - CA
Notes: Leading the 75-pound bracket will be Shane McFillin who owns a Super 32 bronze medal from last year’s event. He’ll be joined by Elementary silver medalist Luka Littleton-Mascaro from Pennsylvania, Liam Davis from Florida and bronze medalists Drew Roggie from Virginia and Moses Mendoza from California.
80-pounds

Ty Kapusta - PA
Nathan Desmond - PA
Zeno Moore - NC
Bo Bassett - PA
Notes: One of the top youth wrestlers in the country will look to defend his Super 32 Championship as Ty Kapusta will compete in the 80-pound bracket this weekend. In order to capture his second consecutive Super 32 belt he’ll have to battle past bronze medalist Nathan Desmond from Pennsylvania, Others to watch include bronze medalist Bo Bassett, silver medalist Zeno Moore, and Dru Ayala from Iowa.
85-pounds

Kalyon McKinney - OH
Notes: The top wrestlers in this bracket include previous Elementary School Super 32 champion Tahir Parkins of Pennsylvania, Middle School fourth place finishers Jackson Blum of Michigan, fifth place finisher Davis Motyka of Pennsylvania and Elementary School silver medalist Kalyon McKinney of Ohio and Haakon Peterson of Wisconsin.
90-pounds
Wrestlers to Watch:
Vince Bouzakis - PA
Joseph Manfredi - NY
Leo DeLuca - NY
Emmit Sherlock - MD
Cater Freeman - IA
Preston Haines - IN
Notes: The 90-pound bracket will be led by one of the top youth wrestlers in the country in Vince Bouzakis of Pennsylvania. The defending Super 32 champion will look to win his third belt. However, in order to do so, he’ll have to battle past previous champion Joseph Manfredi and Leo DeLuca of New York, silver medalists Emmitt Sherlock of Iowa and Cater Freeman of Iowa and fourth place finisher Preston Haines of Indiana.
