The Mojo Outlaws started off with pool play Friday night, against Red Storm 04, winning 15-6. They then crushed Georgia Select, 24-0, in a three-inning, mercy rule game. The Outlaws continued their momentum into bracket play, posting a 20-0, three inning win over The Girls 03 to set up the game for which everyone had waited: Mojo Outlaws â04 vs. The Birmingham Thunderbolts. The Outlaws fall, in part to costly errors, and a lack of timely hitting. The Thunderbolts smacked two home runs, including a grand slam, to outslug the Outlaws, 15-13.
âWeâd like to thank Jeff Strode and USFA for hosting such a great tournament and the USFA umpires for a great weekend,â said Jarred Farrow, the head coach of the 8U Mojo Outlaws â04. âWe are looking forward to the 2013 season and the 2013 USFA World Series in Panama City, Florida.â
