Standing at 5’11 and 170 lbs, Darius, your 2013 Youthee winner, “Mr. Clutch” Diaz is as big-time a hitter as you can find. With nearly unlimited physical abilities, Darius is a true five-tool player with speed, superb hitting ability, power to all fields, exceptional fielding, and a cannon for an arm. During his 2012 season with Team Florida, Darius compiled 142 hits, 31 doubles, 15 triples, 37 homeruns, 156 RBIs and 164 runs scored with a 1.348 slugging percentage and a .701 on base percentage. As a student of the game, Diaz is a quick learner and he demands respect from his peers while receiving tremendous support from his parents, friends, and fellow teammates. Diaz was named as a Travelball Select All-American for his second year in a row, after being named Player of the Year in 2011 as an 11-year-old.

“Darius is a great kid that loves to play the game. He has great feel for the game and constantly works to become better every day. He is a Role player with a great attitude and tremendous ability and the sky is the limit for him” – Coach Miguel Soto
