Rion is relentless in pursuit of the ball. He's a real physical presence in the trenches at Defensive Tackle. He plays hard on each and every down, and always plays through the whistle. His use of sound technique allows him to gain the advantage on his opposition. He enjoys being a disrupter. Once the ball is snapped he's in his opponents grill looking for a way to make play for his team. Whether it's making a tough tackle or forcing a fumble and recovering it, Rion will make his presence felt.

Goals and about me
My Dream Goal
My dream is to play Defense for Coach Venables and the Clemson Tigers. However, I will not rule out playing college football at any level. I would also like to play in the NFL then come back to my hometown and put back into the community by creating a competitive football platform to give others the opportunity to excel.
My Individual Season Goal
I guess I’d have to say my season goal would be to play to my best ability at any position needed to help my team and teammates have a successful season. Once I get to the high school level my goal is to reach All-Conference and All-State status as an individual and help my team reach State Championship level.
About me
My name is Rion (pronounced Ryan). I’m 14 years old and live in Gray Court, SC. I am homeschooled with a 4.0 GPA, however I will be playing football at Clinton High School, Clinton, SC. I am primarily a defensive lineman, however; this past season I have played more at the center and long snapper positions in order to best serve my team. I also was the starting center for South Carolina's first FBU team and Team Carolina 13U for the Texas Youth All-Star tournament even though we did not get to attend due to weather. I was the starting center and defensive end for TEAM SC Future Stars team in Jacksonville, FL in June. I also participated in NextGen The Show at IMG Academy, as well as FBU TOP GUN in Naples, FL.
I have played football since age 4 even though I was legally blind until the age of 8. I started out as a running back and defensive lineman, having to memorize all the plays because I could not see the play card. After 4 eye surgeries I eventually converted to center and defensive lineman my current positions at age 10. In 2017, I really started coming into my own. After attending Dabo Swinney’s and Nick Saban’s football camps that summer, and being named to the All Saban team I hit the season at full force. After a shortened 8 game season, I finished with 14 sacks, 24 tackles, 6 forced fumbles recovering 3 and was awarded Defensive player of the year. When I started playing in middle school last season they didn’t keep stats for some reason so I’m not exactly sure what my performance was number wise. My parents tried to keep them up as my dad was most of my teammates and mine recreational football coach for many years. On top of football I am also a competitive dancer in tap, clogging (2020 Mr. America's Clogging Hall of Fame) and hip hop and I also take classes in ballet and contemporary. Dance has really helped me improve my footwork, speed, balance and grace on the football field.
