Scouting Report

Velez shows the ability to make all the throws at a good rate. He shows solid arm strength and the ability to get the ball into tight spaces. His accuracy on intermediate throws and deep balls stands out on film. He shows sound mechanics and is able to get the ball out his hands quickly. Velez has good speed and quickness to make plays with his legs when necessary.
May need to tighten up throwing mechanics as he continues to develop.
