I am a very self motivated and determined person. I know that it can be seen as a disadvantage to be from an 'non-hockey' country such as the UK but I love ice hockey and I am determined to succeed in my goal to become a professional player one day. I get up every day before school so I can shoot pucks. I skate as often as I can and my dad , who's a strength and conditioning coach, works with me on my off ice. I know I have to be even better than the kids in Europe and North America to get noticed and I am determined to outwork everyone else my age and I am never satisfied with the level I'm at. I think if I keep developing tiny bit by tiny bit then I will get there. I have a poster on my wall that says "I can and I will, watch me", this sums me up.
