Herman enjoys laying down big hits and using his instincts to slow down his opposition from the LB spot. As soon as the ball is snapped, Herman uses his quick first step to get a leg up as he pursues the ball. Once he gets near the ball carrier, he uses sound tackling and his strength to drag them to the ground. His instincts allow him to diagnose the play quickly, allowing him to find the ball and lay down a jarring hit. Herman sets the edge well, forcing the runner back inside where he or his teammates can make the play.
