WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Atlantic Youth Hockey League and the New Jersey Colonials are pleased to announce that Bantam Major forward Alexandros Gaffney (West Orange, N.J.) has committed to Harvard University for the 2020-21 season.
“Alexandros is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached,” said head coach Noel Rubin. “With his blend of skill, speed, scoring ability, and work ethic, he will be a perfect fit for Harvard.”
A ten-year player for the Colonials organization, Gaffney currently leads the Bantam Major level in points with 41 and in goals (28). He reunite with former Colonials John Farinacci and Marshall Warren, who have also given their pledge to play their collegiate hockey at Harvard.
“Gaffney’s character as a player and as a person is second to none,” Rubin added. “He is our captain this year and has been a tremendous leader.”
