The first rounds of the 2019 VAC National Holiday Duals are set as the opening round brackets have been released. The round robin pool will feature 12 different pools that will feature four teams each. The teams will wrestle three matches against one another and then top team from each pool will then move onto the championship Gold bracket on Saturday morning.
Here is a look at the opening round pools:
Illinois Orange and Blue
Notes: Pool A features the defending VAC National Holiday Dual champions in team Cali Gold. The others to watch are Team Vanquish and Illinois Orange and Blue.
Notes: The favorite in this bracket is Scorpions Dynasty DeathRow. They’ve had success in this event in the past and will be the favorite to win this pool.
NCWAY National Team
DC`s Team Savage
Notes: The top two teams in this bracket will be Buxton Intensity and DC’s Team Savage.
Mile High Gold
Legends of Gold
Notes: The favorite to win Pool D will be PA Gold. They are a team that is expected to make a deep run not only in this Pool but also the Gold Medal bracket.
Notes: Two teams to watch in this Pool include Oklahoma Storm and Triumph WA. PA Blue and POWA Colorado also feature strong rosters and this could be one of the most competitive Pools in the early round.
Notes: Kansas Marshals have put together a strong roster and should contend with Minion Black to win this Pool.
Team New Mexico
New Jersey Power
Notes: This should be another competitive bracket as the winner of PA Silver and New Jersey Power will most likely move onto the Gold Medal bracket.
Buxton Red Beards
Notes: The Buxton Red Beards and Oklahoma Tornados are the top two teams in this bracket.
ScorpionsDynasty No Limit
Notes: Ohio Scarlet is a team that is two years removed from winning the whole thing. They will have a chance to win this pool if they can get back the Scorpions No Limit team and the Warhawks.
East Coast Elite
Notes: The Academy has put together a strong squad and could be poised to pull a few upsets. They will have to get past Iowa Black and Cali Gold/Black who are also strong contenders.
Notes: The Minion Legends team has put together a strong squad and sits in a favorable Pool. They should have no issues moving on to the Gold Medal bracket if they can get past The Xpress.
Team Nauman Green
Notes: Team Xtreme and Team Sconnie and the top two teams in this pool and their match could be very close.
