2020 AAU Winter Nationals Recap

This past weekend more than 250 middle school wrestlers competed in the 2020 AAU Winter Nationals at Ralston Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. 

 

In the 80-pound bracket it was Carter West of DC Elite who won three of his four bouts by fall. He took home the gold when he defeated Cole S. Krutzfeldt of Montana in 1:27. 

 

Taking home the 85-pound bracket it Seth Mendoza of Elevate Wrestling Academy who dominated his weight class. He won two bouts by fall and two by tech-fall which included his gold medal match where he defeated Dru Ayala of Sebolt Wrestling Academy 19-4. 

 

Finally it was 95-pound Carter Freeman of Sebolt Wrestling Academy who took home the top spot. He won three bouts by tech-fall, one by fall and the other by major. He took home the title when he won his title bout by tech-fall 23-8 over Vinny Mayberry of MWC Wrestling Academy.
