2019 Wisconsin Greco-Roman State Championship Recap

The Wisconsin Wrestling Federation hosted their annual Greco-Roman State Championships this past weekend where more than 160 schoolboy wrestlers competed for the top spot in their respective weight classes.

 

Haakon Peterson of CWCTF led the was as he captured the 83-pound title by posting a perfect 4-0 record. He won all four of his bouts by 10-0 tech-fall victories which included his championship victory over teammate Amryn Nutter.

 

Dominic Leintz of Clear Lake/Revolution dominated the 106-pound bracket as he won three of his four bouts by fall. He took home the title when he defeated Preston Kratochvill of Combat WC by fall in :23 seconds.

 

Finally it was 130-pound Aeoden Sinclair of CWCTF who pinned his way to gold by winning all three of his bouts by fall. He claimed the top spot when he pinned David Malin of LAW in 1:01.
