Standing at 5'3" 110 lbs., Robinson is a game-changer with the ability break a big run at the drop of a hat. He runs with vigor and purpose on every down and is focused on making the most out of each run. His combination of speed and aggressiveness when running the ball allows him to bulldoze over tacklers en route to the endzone.
More than anything, Robinson loves to compete and show off his talent.
"Competing and proving I am the best player on the field," Robinson said of his favorite part of playing football.
"I play RB/WR on offense. CB/S on defense. KR/PR on special teams. I just want the ball in my hands, and I’ll make a play. On defense I believe every ball in the air is intended for me," he added.
Robinson is a versatile athlete that can make an impact from a variety of positions on the field. His ability to use his natural football instincts, coupled with his speed, allows him to dominate games. He's an athlete that improves with each game.
"I get stronger, faster and my football IQ gets better every year. I work on my game on and off the field," he said.
Robinson believes his strengths on the field include his speed, vision, elusiveness, hands, cover skills, IQ, and playmaking ability.
The New Haven, CT native most recently played for Hartford Hurricanes and FBU Connecticut. He plans on attending some upcoming camps in hopes of competing and improving his game.
"I will be attending a camp at Bergan Catholic, FBU, NextGen, and also an FBU Showcase. I also participate in 7on7 Pylon Tournaments as well as All Mammal 7on7 Tournaments. I am working on my full skillset on field and training my body off field, I’ll be ready," he said.
The future looks bright for 2023 RB/DB Ellis Robinson IV. He's a playmaker on both sides of the ball and his upside is truly high. He's happy with how his game has progressed to this point, but remains dedicated to continual progression going forward.
"My route running and my man to man cover skills," Robinson said
"I’m working on putting on weight, my speed, and my cover skills. Unlike Pop Warner the size of the players are unlimited in high school, so I’m going to need all the muscle I can get on my frame without losing my speed and athletic ability."
