David Clark III is one of the best players from the Folsom, CA area in the Class of 2022.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Clark III, who attends Folsom High School, is a dynamic player that works as a quarterback.
Clark III, who was a member of Youth1’s Freshman450 list last year, explains his strengths on the field.
“Some advantages I have on the field are being able to recognize defenses and my athleticism,” Clark III said. “I pride myself on being able to make plays on the field with my mind and athletic ability.”
Clark III shares the aspects of playing quarterback that he enjoys.
“Playing QB is rewarding as I distribute the ball to everyone and keeping the wide receivers happy,” Clark III said. “I enjoy being the guy that the team counts on and depends on. I relish that role.”
Clark III patterns his play after this star quarterback.
“I look up to Cam Newton because I love the swag and energy he plays with and athleticism,” Clark III said. “That’s the way I try to play when I’m out there on the field.”
Clark III has a strong passion for the game of football. This is shown through his actions and behavior on the field.
“I love the relationships you build with your teammates,” Clark III said. “I just appreciate the chance to bond with my teammates who are like brothers to me and it’s always special when we take the field.”
Clark III does his best to show strong leadership to his teammates. It’s important to Clark III that he sets a positive example on his peers.
“I try to demonstrate being a good teammate by setting an example for my teammates by setting the tone in practices with a high tempo,” Clark III said. “The best advice I give to my teammates is to keep your head up no matter what and focus on the next play if you made a mistake.”
Clark III has improved in many aspects since being selected to the Freshman450. Clark III excitedly lists the strides he’s made in the last year.
“I feel as though every week I make huge strides in being a better QB. I put in the work constantly to make sure that I’m improving at the rate that I need to be,” Clark III said. “I want to be great and I know that requires hard work.”
Clark III discusses what he’s been up to lately.
“I prepared through spring practices. I’m always locked in mentally and I strive for greatness,” Clark III said. “I was invited to the Stanford QB Camp as well.”
Clark III lists some recent achievements he’s proud of.
“I am ranked as the No. 5 QB for Hitlist in the Class of 2022 and I was the Battle Prep West Top QB for the Class of 2022,” Clark III said.
Clark III outlines what he needs to work on to take his game to the next level.
“I am working on playing with good anticipation and to become more accurate and stronger,” Clark III said.
