2020 Jackson Ramey named FBU All-American

When it comes to football, certain states are just breeding grounds for great players and Georgia is one of those hotbeds. FBU has reached out to the great state to invite

Class of 2020 Elite 101 member, Jackson Ramey to the 2016 FBU Youth All-American Bowl.

Ramey is a mammoth up front, listed at 6’4, 260lbs. He's helped his Banks County Middle School team to a 6-2 record this season. He went on to explain how the team overcame several obstacles, making their team bond even stronger.

“Our team really came together this year, and pulled out a couple of come from behind wins that make me proud to call myself a Banks County Leopard.  We were down 13 – 0 going into the 4th quarter this year in a must win game, and we rallied to score 16 straight points to win,” he said. “This win allowed us to secure one of the league’s four playoff spots. It is a game I will always remember. It is a game that my teammates became so much more than just teammates on a team to me. We became brothers for life.”

Ramey went on to say how excited he is to be a part of the All-American Game this year.

“I can’t wait to reconnect with some of the amazing athletes that I have met over the past year at FBU Top Gun, and the FBU Atlanta regional camp,” he said. “It is amazing to think about all of the talented athletes that will take the field in this All-American game and I feel blessed to be a part of it. It is such a great honor to be named an FBU All-American.”

Accolades of high esteem are nothing new for Ramey, as over the past two years he’s racked up awards across the nation.  In his middle school, he was voted most likely to receive an academic scholarship and make it to the NFL. He was also named to the 2015 All Florida/Georgia Future Stars team and the All-Top Gun team.

Ramey’s goals for the game remain the same as any other game: To show he is one of the best and to play to his best potential.

“I want to not only be a part of something great, but also to prove that I belong on the field as an All-American,” he said. “I want to play with both heart, and intensity. I want to live up to this great opportunity by playing my heart out, and giving it my all.”

Ramey went on to say what he’s looking forward to the most at the game.

“I think I am most looking forward to the atmosphere inside the stadium on game day. It will have to be totally electric,” he said. “I have never played on the field with such a talented group. It gets my adrenaline flowing just thinking about it.”

He also discussed his future teammates. “I have been keeping up with all of the players that have been named FBU All-Americans over the past couple of months, and I feel honored to play alongside them,” he continued. “From top to bottom the entire roster will be filled with players from across the nation that eat, sleep, and breathe football just like I do!”
