This past weekend the CP3 Rising Stars Camp took place in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over the past couple of years this camp has hosted some of the best young basketball talent in the country. This year proved to be much of the same as the top players from the 2021 class showcased their skills.
The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp provides players an elite environment to demonstrate their individual skill level and capacity to perform in a team setting. Chris Paul handpicks the instructors and staff himself in an effort to make sure that the athletes attending really grow as players. Since it’s inception in 2013, over 1,000 division I scholarships have been awarded to CP3 Rising Stars participants.
Two players who really stood out this weekend were both Youth1 top prospects in the past, Meechie Johnson and Ryan Conway.

Johnson and Conway both have a similar style of play; they are both point guards with great handles, which is there biggest strength. They both like to get their teammates involved and can make some very difficult passes. Last but not least, both Johnson and Conway can create their own shot, if there outside jumper is falling consistently they are almost impossible to guard.
Johnson has already received multiple division I offers and Conway is a division I prospect as well. It will be interesting to see how their high school careers play out and ultimately where they play their college ball.
