2020 point guard Ramone Woods thrust into national spotlight after NEO Youth Elite performance

Ramone Woods is a 5’9 point guard from Chicago, Illinois. The 2020 prospect has gained a lot of traction as of late on the national scene after his performance at the NEO Youth Elite National Showcase.

The video of him battling Julian Newman has surpassed over 500 thousand views on YouTube. Although his name is just surfacing now, Woods is a grinder who loves the game of basketball and is determined to play college ball.

“I would love to play for Ohio State, Villanova, UCLA or Wichita State.” Said Woods. “They are all great programs with great history and have a history of letting players play their style of ball.”

Woods has a solid overall game; he excels at shooting and attacking the rim. He is also fearless and aggressive on defense. He tries to model his game after NBA all stars Chris Paul and Damian Lillard.
Woods consistently sets high standards for himself, this upcoming high school season he wants to win a national championship wile averaging 17 points and at least 5 assists per game.

The combination of Woods skill set and work ethic is what makes him a special talent. It is also clear that the kid thrives in pressure situations and isn’t scared of anyone or anything on the court. He is definitely someone to keep an eye on in the future and a late riser in the class of 2020.
