Class of 2021 point guard Ryan Conway first appeared on the pages of Youth1.com last month for his exceptional skill set and relentless work ethic. At the time, Conway he was battling with fellow 2021 guard Zion Harmon at the Buckeye Prep Showcase. The scene was similar at the Middle School Hoops Showcase in Indianapolis last month as the two top prospects exchanged buckets and brought out the best in each other.
“Zion has been my rival since I joined the class, we’re cool off the court, but on the court I have to attack him like I would anyone else, I have to attack him like he is my worst enemy,” said Conway.
At the showcase Conway averaged 35 points per game displaying great shooting touch and the ability to drive to the basket and finish through contact. The MSHTV Showcase had some of the best talent from around the country and nobody could slow him down. Conway came into the camp with the mindset of proving that he is one of the best players in the country and left satisfied with the whole experience.
“It was great, I got better and was very blessed just to be able to go,” said Conway. “I wanted to show to everyone that I am a top 3 player in the country.”
Conway possesses great physical talents, but his drive to be the best is what separates him. Don’t be surprised if you see 5’11” guard shoot up the 2021 rankings as the season continues.
