#10 Carolina Sharks - Power Rating: 1352 

 

Kicking off our last 14B rankings of the season are the No. 10 Carolina Sharks, who rode an impressive showing at the USSSA Road to Orlando Fastpitch World Series to a spot on our list. The team finished the season with 10-2 record vs. class B competition, a 1352 power rating and 150 USSSA points.

The club went 10-2, and outscored its opponents 111-42, to finish seventh at the World Series. It recorded wins over the Mobile Thrillers and Lady Jets 97, but lost to third place finisher EMR Softball Club 14U.

Managed by Sandy Doherty, the team consists of Alexandra Doherty, Marisa Harkey, Amanda Light, Morgan Mahaffey, Rachel Marion, Lori McCoy, Brooke McCurry, Taylor Rayborn, Brooke Sanford, Cassie Wancheck, and Kori Wancheck.

 

 

 

#9 DC Adrenaline - Power Rating: 1354

 

While the DC Adrenaline are not from our nation's capital, this Castle Rock, Colorado club put together an impressive season and comes DC_Adrenalinein at No. 9. The Adrenaline finished the year with a formidable 50-8 overall record (31-5 vs. class B), with 1640 USSSA points and a 1354 power rating.

The team went 9-2 to record a fifth-place finish at the USSSA Fastpitch World Series. The club defeated a string of contenders like KC Crunch 99 and the Arkansas Starz, but fell to eventual winner the OK Shoxx. It won the 16 and under Jelly Bean tournament, and also took first at the The Memorial Day Bash and Top of the Rockies tournaments. The club also went 4-2 to finish second at the 16 and under Chinook tournament.

Managed by Kevin Englert, the roster is comprised of Jordan Acosta, Shelbie Day, Katherine Durkop, Samantha Hardy, Savannah Heebner, Megan Holtschneider, Kelsie Kloppenberg, Jamie Longenecker, Shelby Rank, Morgan Reid, and Morgan Trujillo.

 

 

 

#8 Juniata Jaguars - Power Rating: 1381 

 

Landing at No. 8 are the ferocious Juniata Jaguars of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. The Jaguars captured the Central Pennsylvania State Juniata_JaguarsChampionship, going 7-0, with a 67-11 run differential for the tournament, which included two wins over the No. 2 PA Poison.

The club also finished sixth at the Umpires Summer Classic tournament, and finished 12-3 overall (9-2 vs. class B), with a 1381 power rating and 330 USSSA points.

Manager Tom Yeager guides a team that consists of Summer Swab, Hayley Colyer, Morgan Cox, Nicole Ebersole, Madison Ertter, Adrianne Gesselman, Nichole Holman, Kelsey Keener, Amber Laudenslager, Rachael Sterner, Carra Stevens, and Megan Yeager.

 

 

#7 Maniax- Power Rating 1389 

 

You'd have to be crazy not to appreciate the season our No. 7 squad had - Port Allen, Louisiana's Maniax - South. The team went 9-2, Maniax_Logo_14Uand outscored its opponents 63-38, to finish second at the USSSA Road to Orlando Fastpitch World Series. Only two losses to eventual champion, and our No. 6 team, the Gametime Stars 97, stopped the Maniax from being crowned champs. Shelby Fleming was named Defensive MVP for her performance during the tournament.

The team went 9-2 vs. class B, and racked up 350 USSSA points and a 1389 power rating.

Managed by Jory Comeaux, the team includes Camryn Comeaux, Carlie Comeaux, Kaitlin David, Kimberly David, Christen Gaudet, Amber Laprarie, Maddie Laprarie, Hannah Schexnailder, Akiya Thymes, Ashley Vosburg, Nicole Vosburg, Brooke Watts, and Shelby Willis.

 

 

#6 Gametime Stars 97- Power Rating: 1391 

 

Landing at No. 6 are the USSSA Road to Orlando Fastpitch World Series champions, the Gametime Stars 97 of Oklahoma City. The Gametime_Stars_97Stars dominated the World Series, going 9-0, and outscoring its opponents 67-17 to take the crown. The tournament culminated in back-to-back shutout wins (10-0 and 8-0) over our No. 7 Maniax - South. The team also had a 4-2 win over our No. 2 PA. Poison. Halle Melone was named the tournament MVP and Bailey Shafferthe most outstanding pitcher of the tournament.

The team also won the TGSF USSSA State Tournament, and the 5gg Balls to the Wall Slamfest and 5gg State Festival - Reeves Ball Park tournaments. The club finished with a 49-6 overall record (38-4 vs. class B), with a 1391 power rating and 1315 USSSA Points.

Managed by Rusty Fisher, the team consists of Tayler Babb, Mariah Ewy, Macy Fisher, Corrie Flanagan, Sha Ingram, Jennifer Marwitz, Kristen Prieto, Reagan Rogers, Bailey Shaffer, Rachael Toft, and Abbey Warren.
